Division of Personnel employee training classes are held in
building 7, 2nd floor. Our main offices and applicant counselors are located in
building 6, 4th floor. Both roadside metered parking spaces and a metered parking
lot are available. (Quarters are required for meters.)
If you are coming from the north (I-79 and I-77), take I-64 East (toward Beckley) at the I-64 junction. If you are
coming from the East or Southeast (turnpike area), stay on I-64 West. From locations West of Charleston, stay on

In Charleston take the State Capitol - Greenbrier Street Exit (Exit 99). The State Capitol
Building

can be seen from the exit.
Turn onto Greenbrier Street (route 114), in the direction of the Capitol Building.
You may park in the
4-hour meter lots near the employee parking garage. See Map.

The training rooms and our offices are fully accessible. use the walkways and
enter at the Training Center (Building 7) main entrance (near the fountain).

Buildings 5 and 6 are joined at the corner
of Piedmont Road and California Ave. These 8-story buildings are connected at the corner by a
2-story State Training Center (building 7).
Visitors must enter through the main entrance to building 7 (fountain side of building).
Security badges will be issued to authorized visitors at buiding 7. These badges must be
display at all times and returned when exiting the building. Please allow a few minutes for
security check-in and screening.

The employee training rooms are on the second floor or building 7.
You may use the stairs or the elevator located in the hallway to the right of the entrance.
If you are not here to attend training, but need information or job counseling, go to the Division
of Personnel main office area. Our offices are located on the fourth floor of building 6, room 420.
Building 6 may be accessed through the right hallway from the building 7 entrance.
