It is very important that you read the testing information included in the posted job announcement. Apply online PRIOR to reporting to a test center. You do not have to take a copy of an online application to the test center. If you must use a paper application due to a disability or other valid reason, present your completed application to the test proctor at the test center.

WHAT TESTS ARE GIVEN ON CLERICAL TEST DAYS?
Test Centers offer the Clerical/Office Support test on special clerical ONLY testing days.
This one test is used for these titles: Office Assistant 1, 2 and 3, Secretary 1 and 2, Administrative Secretary, Radio Operator, Telecommunicator, Mail Processing Operator 1, Imaging Operator 1, Word Processor, and Lottery Business Support Technician 1 and 2. Some of these jobs may not be currently open for applications. ALL other titles are offered on the "General Written" testing day. See individual center schedules. Test centers also schedule testing for non-clerical jobs. Centers typically offer testing for more than 50 non-clerical job titles. The posting will indicate the specific test required for the job. In some cases the same test is used for more than one title.

Test center staff cannot answer questions.

Correctional Officer 1 written exams are offered at most state correctional facilities and regional jails. Contact a facility for information. Testing may also be available at local WorkForce WV Offices.

Note: Applicants for Office Assistant positions which require typing MUST take the written test and the typing test on the same day. Typing tests are not offered in White Sulphur Springs. If you have previously taken the written test and wish to apply for jobs requiring a Typing test, you must re-take the written test and take the typing test on same day.

Test centers are closed on State holidays. Check the center schedules for other closure dates (SHOWN IN RED).
