Marion County Circuit Judge David R. Janes was first elected circuit judge in 2001. Before becoming a circuit judge, he was in the private practice of law from 1977-2000 and was Special Counsel to the Judicial Investigation Commission. He holds a law degree from Vanderbilt University and a bachelor of arts degree from West Virginia University. Judge Janes has served on the Board of Governors of the West Virginia State Bar, as a charter member of the West Virginia Mandatory Continuing Legal Education Commission and as president of the Marion County Bar Association. |
