Wyoming County Circuit Judge John Hrko was first elected circuit judge in 1985. Before becoming a circuit judge, he was a private local attorney from 1972- 85. He holds a law degree from the West Virginia University College of Law and a bachelor of arts degree from Marshall University. Judge Hrko also earned a diploma of judicial skills from the American Academy of Judicial Skills. He has served as president of the Wyoming County Bar Association, president of the WV Judicial Association, chairman of the Judicial Hearing Board, and as a member of the Executive Committee of the National Conference of State Trial Judges. Judge Hrko has been named Judge of the Year the WV Trial Lawyers Association. |
