Marion County Circuit Judge Fred L. Fox, II was first elected circuit judge in 1970 and served a temporary assignment to the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals from
Jan.-Oct. 1995. Before becoming a circuit judge, he was in the private practice of law from 1967-70 He holds a law degree from the West Virginia University College of Law, and a bachelor of
arts degree from Davis and Elkins College. From 1960-63 and 1968-69 he was an Infantry Line Officer with the United States Marine Corps., earning two Bronze Stars, a Purple Heart and the Cross of
Gallantry. At the WVU College of Law he was a member of the Order of the Coif.
