Hon. Donald H. Cookman
Circuit Judge Donald H. Cookman of Hampshire, Hardy and Pendleton counties was first elected circuit judge in 1993. Before becoming a circuit judge, he was in private practice in Romney from 1971-1993. He also
served as Hampshire County Prosecuting Attorney from 1973-1993.

He holds a law degree from the West Virginia University College of Law, and a bachelor of arts degree from West Virginia University. He was a member of the American Bar Association, West Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, member and former president of the South Branch Valley Bar Association and National District Attorneys Association. He is a member of the Romney Presbyterian Church where he serves as Elder and Sunday School teacher and a member of the West Virginia Judicial Association. |
