1. Board of Education of the County of Mercer v. Patricia Owensby - 25978 - Petitioner appeals the circuit court's reversal of the Grievance Board's decision directing that Petitioner be instated into a full-time teaching position with back pay and benefits. 

2. Joe Bailey, et al. v. Norfolk & Western Railway Co. - 26004 - Norfolk and Western Railway Co. appeals from a jury verdict returned in the Circuit Court of McDowell County finding that the railroad discriminated against 67 employees upon the basis of age, when the railroad promoted the employees from "trainman to conductor" but placed the employees at the bottom of the conductors' seniority roster. 

3. In Re: Petition of Dennis H. Burks for Judicial Review, etc. - 25897 - The petitioner, the Division of Motor Vehicles, challenges an order entered in the Circuit Court of Raleigh County reversing the administrative revocation of the respondent's drivers license. 

4. State of W. Va. v. Michael Wayne Palmer - 26112 - The petitioner, Michael Wayne Palmer, challenges his convictions upon an indictment returned in the Circuit Court of Summers County.  The petitioner asserts that the indictment was precluded by an earlier plea agreement in another matter.  The earlier plea agreement provided for the dismissal of all charges "then pending or under investigation".
