Burnside v. James O. Meadows, Jr., et al. - 26633 - Plaintiff appeals the denial of her motion for a new trial and argues that the jury verdict was inadequate as a matter of law. - Dismissed 4. Wilda McCloud v. Salt Rock Water Public Service District, et al. - 26210 - The petitioner, Wilda McCloud, appeals from a directed verdict granted by the Circuit Court of Cabell County at the close of her case-in-chief. Barbara E. Thompson, et al. v. Branches-Domestic Violence Shelter, et al. - 26561 - Plaintiffs appeal entry of order granting summary judgment for the defendants on the basis that the causes of action were governed by a one year statute of limitations and plaintiffs filed their action more than one year after accrual. 6. Robert L. Easterling, et al. v. American Optical Corp., et al. - 26566 - Plaintiffs appeal from the circuit court's order awarding judgment to defendant's, Bicknell Manufacturing Company and Buckeye Monument Company, on the basis of lack of personal jurisdiction. 7. Carolyn M. Armor, et al. v. George Lantz - 26432 - The petitioners, Carolyn M. Armor and Richard T. Armor, Jr., appeal from an order entered in the Circuit Court of Wood County granting summary judgment in favor of the respondent. The action was brought by the petitioners for legal malpractice, and the named defendants included two Ohio attorneys and the respondent, a West Virginia attorney serving as local counsel. 8. Thelma J. Dalton v. John Doe - 26437 - Plaintiff appeals from a circuit court's order granting summary judgment in favor of the uninsured motorist carriers. 9. State of West Virginia v. Kenneth A. Bruffey - 26573 - Bruffey appeals his jury conviction and sentence for driving a motor vehicle when his license had been revoked for DUI and failure to carry the required security on the vehicle. - To be presented on briefs only without oral argument. 10. State ex rel. West Virginia Department of Health & Human Resources, Child Support Enforcement Division, and Kimberly Dawn A. v. Michael George K. - 26638 - WVDHHR's Child Enforcement Division appeals an order of the Fayette County Circuit Court which dismissed a paternity action against Michael K. K. was found to be the father of Robert A. based upon blood test results of 99.97%. - To be presented on briefs only without oral argument. |
