Rebecca Melton Craig, Tax Commissioner  - 29996 - Petitioner appeals from the circuit court's order affirming the Tax Commissioner's ruling that petitioner was liable for a use tax relating to the purchases of goods and services in connection with petitioner's gas transmission activities. 3.  Shirley Crock, et al. v. Harrison County Board of Education  - 29988 - The petitioners, Shirley Crock and Grace Washington, appeal from an order entered in the Circuit Court of Harrison County affirming a Level IV grievance decision holding that the respondent, Harrison County Board of Education, did not act improperly in terminating the petitioners' employment contracts and reissuing the contracts with reduced benefits, i.e., without any provision for "experience credit" for salary purposes. The petitioners contend that, in terminating and reissuing the contracts, the Board committed a number of statutory violations.

5.  Harold Moore, et al. v. 6.  State of W. Va. v. Chester Chanze  - 29810 -  Chanze appeals the circuit court order finding him guilty of Petit Larceny and sentencing him to nine months in the Northern Regional Jail; claiming that the circuit court erred in that it failed to remand the case to magistrate court for a re-trial by jury, but instead proceeded with a bench trial in the circuit court. - To be presented on briefs only without oral argument.

7.  State of W. Va. v. Robin Barnhart  - 29967 - Barnhart appeals the circuit court order sentencing her to 12 months, suspended for a period of one year probation, for her conviction by a jury on the charge of Battery. Barnhart claims that the court erred in allowing the indictment to stand when an investigating officer sat in as a non-participating grand-juror; in denying Barnhart's motion for Judgment of Acquittal; and in denying the defense requested instructions on the requisite intent element of Malicious Assault and definition of terms.
