1.  Sharon Bicks Wilson v. George Butler Wilson - 25441 - Petitioner/defendant appeals the financial order in a bifurcated divorce. The child custody issue was decided in Court Ruling in Sharon B. W. v. George B. W., Nos. 24638 and 24639, filed July 15, 1998 (per curiam).  A stay on alimony was granted 10/29/98, Misc. Motions.  A response was filed and a motion to lift the stay. 

2.  Larry Joe Hardman v. Vickie Lynn (Hardman) Smith - 25478 - Petitioner appeals order regarding child support and arrearages.   Case has been settled.  Motion to dismiss should be forthcoming.

3.  West Virginia Alcohol Beverage Control Administration, et al. v. Shirley Hunt Scott - 25479 - Employee appeals decision of lower court reversing final decision of the W. Va. Education and State Employee's Grievance Board in a lay-off matter pursuant to a reduction-in-force.

4.  David E. Sayre v. Jack J. Roop, Executive Director, et al. - 25481 - In this employment action, the circuit court set aside a jury verdict for the employer and awarded a new trial.  The employer asks this Court to reinstate the jury verdict. 

5. Harold Summers, Jr. v. Cathy S. Gatson, Circuit Clerk, et al. - 25793 - This is a petition for Writ of Certiorari pursuant to W. Va. Code 21A-7-27.  Employee seeks unemployment compensation benefits following termination. 

6. Webster County Commission v. Caroline Clayton, Sheriff - 25625 - The Sheriff of Webster County challenges a circuit court ruling upholding the discharge of a Webster County Commission employee who had been a de facto employee of the Sheriff's Office. 

7. Gerald Locke Smith v. Betty M. Rusimisell, et al. - 25429 - The petitioner, Mike Ross, Inc. contends that the Circuit Court of Upshur County committed error in ordering the resale of certain tracts of land sold at a partition auction. 

8. Alvin D. Howell v. Hayward Luckey - 25482 - Following a judgment against the petitioner in a personal injury action, the petitioner brought a separate action against an alleged tortfeasor for contribution.  The circuit court granted summary judgment for the alleged tortfeasor, holding that the petitioner's action was barred because the tortfeasor was never joined as a party in the original action.  

9. Tina R. Richmond v. James Ellenbogen - 25434 - Defendant appeals jury verdict in a sexual harassment case.    

10. Paul Mitchell, Exe. v.  Anthony George Broadnax - 25539 - Plaintiff, the estate of Mary Mitchell, appeals the grant of summary judgment to Anthem Insurance Company.  The lower court limited the amount of uninsured motorist coverage to the statutory minimum ($20,000.00) because of an "owned but not insured" exclusion contained in the Anthem policy.
