1. In Re: Petition of Robert & Judy Jeffries for Adoption of R. L. J. - 25198 - Prospective adoptive parents appeal a circuit court's decision finding that the evidence did not support a finding of abandonment by the natural father.

2.  State of West Virginia v. Sammy Lee Davis, Sr. - 25175 - Defendant appeals his jury convictions of first degree murder, sexual assault, conspiracy to commit murder and conspiracy to commit sexual assault.   The defendant was sentenced to life with mercy.

3.  State of West Virginia v. Dana Adam Cottrill - 25203 - Defendant appeals his convictions by a jury of breaking and entering an automobile, grand larceny and conspiracy to commit grand larceny.  The trial judge also held the defendant in contempt for failing to answer the judge's questions at sentencing. Defendant seeks a new trial, re-sentencing, termination of contempt imprisonment and credit for time served for contempt imprisonment.
