West Virginia Judges To Hold Educational Conferences
in Morgantown and Lewisburg

      Charleston, W. Va. - West Virginia’s Supreme Court justices, circuit judges, and senior status judges will hold their Fall 2003 Educational Conference at the Radisson Hotel in the Morgantown Wharf District on October 21-24, 2003. The Spring 2004 Educational Conference will be at the Brier Inn in Lewisburg on March 23-26, 2004.

      The West Virginia State Bar’s Annual Meeting will be on March 26-27, 2004 at The Greenbrier Resort. West Virginia’s judges annually hold their spring conference the same week and at the same location as the State Bar. "We will not hold our conference at The Greenbrier. The lawyers will meet at The Greenbrier, the judges at The Brier Inn, a much smaller motel," Chief Justice Larry Starcher said.

      The bi-annual judicial conferences provide judges with a forum to discuss administrative matters and developments in West Virginia law, including new legislation and case law.
