Late today the Attorney General of West Virginia filed a Petition for Injunction, asking the Court to issue an injunction precluding Ralph Nader from appearing on the ballot as a candidate for president of the United States. The petition alleges irregularities in the nominating petition process. Similar injunctive relief was denied by the Circuit Court of Kanawha County in an order entered September 2, 2004. A response to the Petition for Injunction has been requested by the close of business on Tuesday, September 7, 2004.
