Today I received notice of the docketing of a petition for writ of certiorari to the United States Supreme Court from the this Court's decision in SER Mobil, et al. v. Gaughn, et al., which involved the procedures for conducting asbestos mass litigation in West Virginia.  The petition, styled Mobil Corporation, et al. v. Bruce W. Adkins, et al., was docketed July 29 2002, as No. 01-132.  Petitioners are represented by Walter Dellinger of O'Melveny & Myers, Washington D.C.  Responses are due August 28, 2002.  You can review the US Supreme Court docket sheet here.
