Court Celebrates Ten-Year Anniversary of Web site
In
March the Supreme Court celebrated the ten-year anniversary of our Web site,
www.state.wv.us/wvsca. The site was launched in March 1997 with six links on
the homepage. The current Web site has 253,000 individual pages.
Over the past ten years the site has been featured in many different articles. In
1999, Study Web named it the best educational Web site. In 2001 it was
featured as Web site of the month by S.W.I.G. (Statewide Internet Group).(Read More...)
Justice Davis Signs Order Establishing Drug Court in West Central West Virginia

New Adult Drug Court Teams to be Trained Across West Virginia
The West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals has arranged for the National Drug Court Institute in Alexandria, Virginia, to train five new adult drug court teams in West Virginia, thanks to a grant from the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources. The Institute previously has trained thousands of drug court team members across the United States for the United States Department of Justice, Bureau for Justice Assistance.(Read More...)

As of July 1, applications to practice law in West Virginia have been available online. Applicants can access documents and information about the process by going to the state Supreme Court Web site, http://www.state.wv.us/wvsca/, clicking on the "Board of Law Examiners" link and then the "Bar Application Information" link.
