TRAINING: GRADUATION FROM A FOUR-YEAR HIGH SCHOOL OR THE EQUIVALENT. EXPERIENCE: TWO YEARS OF FULL-TIME OR EQUIVALENT PART-TIME PAID EMPLOYMENT. SUBSTITUTION: SUCCESSFUL FULL-TIME STUDY OR EQUIVALENT PART-TIME STUDY IN AN ACCREDITED COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY OR RESIDENT BUSINESS OR VOCATIONAL SCHOOL MAY BE SUBSTITUTED THROUGH AN ESTABLISHED FORMULA FOR THE REQUIRED EXPERIENCE.
Job Description
FIELD OPERATIONS - MERCER COUNTY FIELD OPERATIONS* UNDER GENERAL SUPERVISION, WILL UTILIZE SUPERIOR CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS TO EXPLAIN PROGRAM BENEFITS AND REQUIREMENTS, AND INTERVIEW CUSTOMERS TO OBTAIN, INTERPRET, AND VERIFY INFORMATION TO DETERMINE ELIGIBILITY FOR VARIOUS FEDERAL AND STATE PROGRAMS WILL PROVIDE PROGRAM AND REFERRAL INFORMATION TO EMPLOYERS, INDIVIDUALS, AND OTHER COMMUNITY ENTITIES IN GROUPS OR ONE-ON-ONE SETTINGS TO DETERMINE OR REFER TO DESIRED AND APPROPRIATE SERVICES. WILL UTILIZE THE ABILITY TO CONTROL AN INTERVIEW TO APPROPRIATE AND INTERPRET INFORMATION FROM VERBAL AND/OR WRITTEN DISCUSSIONS WITH A VARIETY OF CUSTOMERS (EMPLOYERS, INDIVIDUALS, OTHER ENTITIES) AND STANDARD PROGRAM FORMS TO DETERMINE APPROPRIATE PROGRAM ENROLLMENT AND FACILITATE ONGOING PROCESS WITH CUSTOMER. PROGRAMS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO NEW AND CONTINUED UNEMPLOYMENT CLAIMS, LABOR EXCHANGE SERVICES, VETERAN-S AND TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES, AND OTHER FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL EMPLOYMENT/WORKFORCE PROGRAMS. WILL UTILIZE GOOD VERBAL AND WRITTEN COMMUNICATION AND LISTENING SKILLS TO ANSWER MULTI-LINE PHONES, WORK FAST-PACED RECEPTION POINTS (TRIAGE AND REFERRAL), RECEIVE/SEND FAXES AND OTHER WRITTEN COMMUNICATION, AND LEARN ABOUT, KEEP ABREAST OF, AND DIRECT CUSTOMERS TO APPROPRIATE PARTNER AND COMMUNITY RESOURCES AND SERVICES. WILL UTILIZE INFORMATION PROCESSING SKILLS TO DO FILE SEARCHES FOR JOB MATCHING AND REFERRAL, CLAIMS IDENTIFICATION, ISSUE IDENTIFICATION, FRAUD/OVERPAYMENT DETECTION AND CROSSMATCHING OF AVAILABLE INFORMATION, DETERMINATION OF APPROPRIATE INDUSTRY CODES FOR EMPLOYERS/JOB SEEKERS/JOB OPENINGS, ERROR AND ANOMALY REPORTING, ETC. WILL DO DATA ENTRY THROUGH A VARIETY OF INTERNET AND COMPUTER BASED APPLICATIONS; INCLUDING NEW, CONTINUED INITIAL CLAIMS, PAYABLES, VARIOUS INDIVIDUAL AND EMPLOYER DEMOGRAPHICS, FACT-FINDING STATEMENTS, JOB ORDERS, APPEALS REQUESTS, WAGE REQUESTS, EMPLOYER VERIFICATIONS, AND OTHER INDIVIDUAL PROGRAM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS. WILL UTILIZE THE ABILITY TO ANTICIPATE THE NEED FOR FURTHER INFORMATION AND/OR DISCOVERY. WILL UTILIZE SUPERIOR COMPUTER DATA MANAGEMENT SKILLS TO MONITOR CUSTOMER FILES THROUGH TECHNOLOGICAL DEVICES/PROGRAMMING- INCLUDING E-MAIL, COMMUNICATOR, MAINFRAME, INTERNET, WEBINAR, AND OTHERS.
