Application Changes and Updates.
Beware: Changing the application in your account does not change previously submitted applications. If you wish to change any identification information on a previously submitted job application, DO NOT RE-APPLY for the same job. You can only edit the application in your online account to apply for other Job Postings. Identification information may include: address, phone, work type and county preferences, etc.). To change identification or availability information on previously submitted applications send a letter (Our AddressSend verification to this address.) or Use this form. "Continuous" Recruitment (no closing date) means applications are being accepted to increase the pool of available qualified eligibles for expected job openings, not necessarily to fill current vacancies.

Written Tests:  Some jobs require written tests. These tests may be different for each job. You may have to take more than one test. The posting will tell you if the same written test is used for other titles.
Some written tests are used for several titles, such as Office Assistant 1, 2, 3 and Secretary 1, 2 . Even though you only have to take the test once, you MUST apply for each job title separately.

Use of Cell phones and other communications devices is prohibited while testing. Read more...

Posted Jobs and Referral Lists. Job postings do not always indicate a current position vacancy. We often post job titles in anticipation of future vacancies. Qualified applicants remain on our vacancy referral list for up to one year. We refer the names of the most qualified or top scoring applicants to agencies for consideration. Hiring agencies may request a referral list and schedule interviews as needed. Referral is no guarantee of an interview.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS FOR INTERNET EXPLORER USERS
I can't see the Application Steps. What do I do?    [Screen Shot]
Security settings in the IE Content Advisor sometimes prevent Web pages from displaying properly. In MS Internet Explorer, check your Content Advisor settings:
1. Click on the 'Tools' menu
2. Select 'Internet Options'
3. Click on the 'Content' tab
4. If there is a button labeled 'Disable', Click it and enter the required password previously established for the Content Advisor. For information about the Content Advisor and Passwords, try a Web search for: Content Advisor password. Or, try this Microsoft link. After completing the application, you may wish to 'Enable' the Content Advisor by repeating the steps above.

The system jumps back to the Application Profile instead of permitting me to complete the application. What do I do?
First, check to see if you have completed all required fields. If so, and you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer, check your Content Advisor settings as described above.

We encourage applicants to apply online. If, however, you would prefer to use a paper application, information and downloads are available at our Job Opportunities Page.

Applicants who do not understand the process may make application mistakes that result in application rejection or a lower rating score.
