CLERICAL TESTING - TYPING TESTING IS NOW AVAILABLE AT THIS SITE.
[Clerical titles and Testing]1st and 3rd Thursday of each month at 10:00 a.m.
Effective July 7, 2011, typing tests will be offered at this test site for applicants interested in clerical typing position (Office Assistant, Secretary, etc.) Applicants for typing positions must take the written and typing tests on the same day. If you do not take a typing test, you can qualify only for non-typing Office Assistant positions.
No appointment.
Seating Limit: 24
Please apply online prior to testing.
General written exams are NOT available on clerical testing dates.
Data Entry Operator 1 and 2 keyboard testing is available in Charleston only.Schedule changes: None. Check back.
GENERAL (NON-CLERICAL) WRITTEN TESTS - No appointments necessary
(Tests are offered for more than 50 titles. Check the job posting for test information.)

You cannot take the Office Support (clerical) exam (written or typing) on general written test days.

Correction Officer 1 testing is available at WorkForce WV Job Service Offices. Please call our office at 558-3950 Ext. 57207 for information or call your local WorkForce WV office about CO1 testing times.
Important Additional Information About Testing:
No appointments are necessary. Testing is subject to seating and test booklet availability. Do not send your written test application to our office. Apply online (preferred) or take your completed paper application to the test center. Personal identification is required.
Applicants testing at a school should NOT arrive earlier than 15 minutes prior to testing time in order not to disturb school.

From I-77 (Traveling South from the direction of Marietta Ohio)
- Take Exit 179, Emerson Avenue
- Continue approximately 3 miles (4th traffic light).
- The library is near 31st Street.
- Turn left into parking lot. (Rear of library)
From I-77 (Traveling North from the direction of Mineral Wells)
- Note: Coming from the South, you may find it easiest to pass other Parkersburg exits and take the Emerson Avenue exit as described above.
- It is possible to take other exits (Camden Ave. WV-95, or Route 50), and go through mid-town. In this case, you take Route 14/68, Murdoch Ave, from mid-town to Emerson.
From Route 50
- Take Route 50 West to I-77
- Go North on I-77 to the Emerson Avenue Exit.
- Turn left onto Emerson
- Continue on Emerson as described above
