CLERICAL WRITTEN AND TYPING TEST - No appointment. [Click to learn more about Clerical titles and testing]
1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month at 4:00 PM.
Notice: Effective May 29, 2013, testing times at this center change to 8 AM for the summer months. Testing on or after August 7, 2013 will be at the regular 4 pm time.
No Appointments. Arrive early.
Seating Limit: 15
Applicants for typing positions must take the written and typing tests on the same day. General written exams are NOT available on clerical testing dates.
Apply online PRIOR to reporting for testing.
Data Entry Operator 1 and 2 keyboard testing is available in Charleston only.IMPORTANT: Test Centers may be required to close on some scheduled dates.
(If schools are closed because of inclement weather, testing will also be canceled.)

From Charleston (East) - [ Google Map]
- Follow I-64 West.
- Take the 29th Street exit.
- Go West on Rt. 60 approximately 1 mile.
- Turn left at the Eastern Heights Shopping Center. (Behind WalMart on Route 60)
- Go one block to a 4-way stop intersection.
- Turn right.
- Go approximately 1 mile. CCCTC is on the left.
- Special Note: The CCCTC is behind the WalMart on Route 60, Rear exit of Walmart area is on Norway Ave.

- Follow Rt. 60 to Washington Boulevard (1 block) to Saltwell Road.
- Turn left on Norway Avenue.
- Go 1-1.5 miles to CCCTC.
From Norway Avenue at the State Hospital go East to CCCTC.
Special Note: The CCCTC is behind the WalMart on Route 60, Rear exit of Walmart area is on Norway Ave.Important Additional Information About Testing:
No appointments are necessary. Testing is subject to seating and test booklet availability. Do not send your written test application to our office. Apply online (preferred) or take your completed Application to the test center. Personal identification is required.
Applicants testing at a school should NOT arrive earlier than 15 minutes prior to testing time in order not to disturb school.
