1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at 4:00 p.m. [Calendar]
Applicants for positions which require typing must take the written test and the typing test on the same day.

GENERAL (NON-CLERICAL) WRITTEN TESTS - (no appointments.)
Seating: 20, subject to booklet availability)
(Tests are offered for more than 50 titles. Check the job posting for test information.)
2nd, 4th and 5th Tuesday of the month at 4:00 p.m. [Calendar]
You cannot take the Office Support (clerical) exam (written or typing) on general written test days.
Data Entry testing is available in Charleston only.
Schedule changes: Testing at schools must be cancelled if school is cancelled.

Correction Officer 1 testing is available at WorkForce WV Job Service Offices. Please call our office at 558-3950 Ext. 57207 for information or call your local WorkForce WV office about CO1 testing times.

Important Additional Information About Testing:

Do not send your written test application to our office. Apply online (preferred) or take your completed Application to the test center. Personal identification is required.
Applicants testing at a school should NOT arrive earlier than 15 minutes prior to testing time in order not to disturb school.

Do not call the testing centers with questions concerning minimum requirements or the applications. Questions should be directed to the Division of Personnel at (304) 558-3950, extension 57207, or TDD (For the Hearing Impaired Only) (304) 558-1237.

Elkins High School is located on Routes 219 & 250 South.
On 219 & 250 North turn left onto Kennedy Drive at traffic light that intersects with 219/250, Chenoweth Creek is on the right and Kennedy Drive is on the left. Turn left and continue on Kennedy Drive EHZ is on the right. (Note: If you reach the Wal-Mart you have gone too far - the traffic light and turn is before Wal-mart.)
Coming on 219/250 South: You will pass Wal-Mart (on left). Turn right at next traffic light.
Coming from Rt. 33 East to West: Turn left at Routes 219/250 (McDonalds Intersection), follow the same directions as above.
Coming from Weston/Buckhannon area using corridor H (Route 33 ): There are 2 exits (it is best to use 2nd exit) - the 1st exit says Crystal Springs - Dowtown - 2nd exit says Davis & Elkins college. Take 2nd exit to the right. Go 2 miles to the first traffic light (Veterans Memorial Monument); take a left. This puts you on Routes 219/250 South. Follow directions above.
