CLERICAL WRITTEN AND TYPING TESTS [Click to learn more about Clerical titles and Testing]

Clerical Testing on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at 4:00 p.m.

No Appointments. Arrive early. Seating is limited.
Testing is subject to seat and booklet availability.
Applicants for typing positions must take the written and typing tests on the same day. General written exams are NOT available on clerical testing dates.
Apply online prior to testing. (No paper needed)
Data Entry Operator testing is available in Charleston only.

IMPORTANT: Test Centers may be required to close on some scheduled dates.

GENERAL (NON-CLERICAL) WRITTEN TESTS [More about tests offered on "General" testing days.]
(Tests are offered for more than 50 titles. Check the Job Posting for test information.)

General Testing on the 2nd, 4th and 5th Tuesday of the month at 4:00 p.m.

No Office Support (clerical) tests (written or typing) offered on General test days.

IMPORTANT: Test monitors and school employees cannot answer questions about testing. Call the Division of Personnel

Correctional Officer 1 testing is available at Correctional Facilities and many WorkForce WV Job Service Offices. Please call a Correctional Facility or call your local WorkForce WV office about CO1 testing times.

Important Additional Information About Testing:

Do not send your written test application to our office. Apply online (preferred) or take your completed Application to the test center. Personal identification is required.

Applicants testing at a school should NOT arrive earlier than 15 minutes prior to testing time in order not to disturb school.

Do not call the testing centers with questions concerning minimum requirements or the applications. Questions should be directed to the Division of Personnel at (304) 558-3950, extension 57207.

DIRECTIONS TO ELKINS MIDDLE SCHOOL

Traveling from I-79 (north or south), Take Exit 99 at Weston.
Take US 33 East towards Elkins. Turn slightly right onto Old US-33/WV 92 (Crystal Springs Exit)
Stay on that road until you get to Robert E. Lee Avenue. (Just past Speedway gas station)
Turn right.
Stay on Robert E. Lee 1/2 mile. School will be on your right.

Coming from Huttonsville (US-219/US-250).
Continue Northeast and remain on WV-92 through Elkins.
At Robert E. Lee Ave., turn left. (If you pass Speedway gas station on your left, you missed the street.)
Stay on Robert E. Lee (1/2 mi). School will be on your right.
