CLERICAL WRITTEN AND TYPING TEST (Walk-in) [Click to learn more about Clerical titles and Testing]
1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at 3:00 PM (See Dates below.)
No appointment necessary. Test is on a personal computer.
Seating: 25
Applicants for typing positions must take the written and typing tests on the same day.

GENERAL (NON-CLERICAL) WRITTEN TESTS
2nd, 4th, and 5th Tuesday of each month at 3:00 PM (See Dates below.)
Notice: Effective June 14,2011 this center will change the testing time to 9:00 AM for the summer months. Testing times change back to 3:00 PM as of August 23, 2011.
(Tests are offered for more than 50 titles. Check the job posting for test information.)
No appointment necessary. You cannot take the Office Support (clerical) exam (written or typing) on general written test days.
Data Entry testing is available in Charleston only.

Important Additional Information About Testing:
Do not send your written test application to our office. Apply online (preferred) or take your completed paper Application to the test center. Personal identification is required.
Applicants testing at a school should NOT arrive earlier than 15 minutes prior to testing time in order not to disturb school.
Do not call the testing centers with questions concerning minimum requirements or the applications. Questions should be directed to the Division of Personnel at (304) 558-3950, extension 57207, or TDD (For the Hearing Impaired Only) (304) 558-1237.

- Take the North Beckley Exit to Route 19
- Continue on Robert C. Byrd Dr. (Rte. 19) past the Cross Roads Mall and Raleigh Mall.
- Take WV-16/US Rte 19 South (N. Eisenhower Dr.) 3.3 miles
- Bear left where US 19 splits with WV-16
- Turn left onto Route 41 (Stanaford Road).
- Look for Academy of Careers and Technology.

- Exit 42 toward Beckley on Rte 16, Eisenhower Drive.
- Continue 2.3 miles to Rural Acres Drive
- Turn right onto Rural Acres Drive.
- Go .7 miles. Continue on WV 41, Stanaford Rd.
- Look for Academy of Careers and Technology.
