About Employee
Relations...
The goal of the Employee Relations
Section is to ensure consistency
in human resource
administration throughout State government. The primary
responsibilities of the Employee
Relations Section include:
- interpreting the provisions of
the Administrative Rule;
- developing uniform personnel
policies and providing interpretations of these policies;
- advising employees and employers
in matters relating to disciplinary actions;
- providing technical assistance
in grievance resolutions;
- providing guidance regarding
State and federal labor laws and other regulations;
- providing referral
assistance to State employees seeking professional counseling,
treatment, or rehabilitative services.
The Employee Relations Section may also
provide specialized training
regarding
personnel issues for State and county governments on a variety of
topics including: wage
and hour administration; discipline; grievance resolution and
preparation for a grievance
hearing; personnel policy administration; and workplace security.
